UNIFORMS
Players are responsible for providing cleats and pants (color determined by coach)
VGSL will provide shirts with team logo and socks
EQUPIMENT
Players are responsible for providing a fielding glove
PITCHERS are required to wear a fielding mask
VGSL will provide each team with a full set of catcher’s gear, batting helmets, bats, practice balls, and game balls.
Optional Additional Equipment
ALL PLAYERS are highly encouraged to wear a fielding mask
Players wishing to purchase their own batting helmet should read the VGSL Helmet Policy
Players wishing to purchase their own bat should consult with their coaches regarding optimal length/weight/drop for a particular player. FOR 6U/8U/10U: Double Wall and 100% composite bats are not permitted. Aluminum bats and hybrid bats (composite handle but not composite barrel) are acceptable as they long as on the USA Softball approved list.
Batting gloves are useful and should fit snugly to minimize sting
